Visiting and intake
Where is BeoDigital?
We are at Milorada Miškovića 23, Banjica, Belgrade. We are open Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00. Find the current address and directions on our Contact page.
Can I send my equipment by courier?
Yes. Pack it carefully and include your name, telephone number, return address and a description of the problem. Read our shipping instructions and agree which accessories are needed for testing. Check transport costs and conditions with the courier.
How much does inspection cost?
Inspection is free. After identifying the problem, we explain the repair options and estimated cost. You decide whether to proceed. Inspection time depends on the fault and the checks required.
What information should I provide?
Include the manufacturer and full model name, the exact error message and when it appears. Tell us about any drop, liquid exposure or previous opening. A short video can help illustrate an intermittent fault.
Repairs and parts
How long does a repair take?
The time depends on the fault, the testing required and parts availability. We estimate the turnaround after inspection. If parts must be ordered, we discuss this before proceeding.
Do you use original spare parts?
We use original spare parts. Availability and sourcing are checked for the specific model. We agree the required work and price with you after inspection.
Is there a guarantee on the repair?
We offer a six-month period for complaints relating to the completed repair, starting when you collect the equipment. If the problem returns, contact us with the previous repair details. Inspection establishes whether it relates to our work or new damage. This does not limit your statutory rights.
How long does it take to obtain parts?
Lead times depend on the supplier, model and availability of the particular part. Previously published times do not guarantee current delivery. We provide an estimate after checking the required part.
Can a part be ordered before I bring the camera?
We agree advance ordering individually. An inspection may be needed first to confirm the correct part. Any deposit and ordering conditions are agreed before an order is placed.
Do you sell spare parts?
We do not sell spare parts separately. We source parts for repairs carried out in our workshop.
Can I order a battery, charger or USB cable?
Send the exact equipment model and the accessory you need. We will check availability and compatibility before agreeing an order.
Do you buy used cameras?
We do not buy used cameras.
Do you repair film cameras or old video cameras?
We do not repair film cameras or analogue VHS/Hi8 camcorders. For older digital camcorders, including miniDV and DVD models, send the full model name first so we can check repair options and parts availability.
Cameras and lenses
The camera was dropped and the lens is stuck or crooked. Can it be repaired?
We inspect this type of damage. Rings, gears, guides, flexible connections or optical assemblies may be affected. Do not force the lens back into position or repeatedly switch the camera on. Repair options and cost are assessed after inspection.
Can a broken screen be replaced?
Replacement is possible when the correct screen is available and the condition of other assemblies permits it. Send the model and a photo of the damage. After a drop, we also check connections, the body and other possible damage. Timing depends on part availability.
The camera will not switch on after a drop. What should I do?
Stop trying to power it on and arrange inspection. Contacts, power circuits, connections, electronics or mechanics may be damaged. The outside of the body does not always reveal the extent of internal damage.
It will not switch on with a charged battery. Is the power circuit faulty?
That symptom alone is not enough to tell. Check that the battery is correct and working and the covers are properly closed. Do not scrape contacts or dismantle the camera. If the problem persists, we check contacts, switches and power circuits.
Pictures are too bright or white. Is the aperture faulty?
Exposure settings, the aperture, shutter or electronics may be involved. Check whether it also happens in automatic mode and whether the saved files appear bright on a computer. Persistent problems need inspection; a bright photograph alone is not a diagnosis.
Pictures are blurred. Does the lens need repair?
Blur can result from focus settings, camera movement, a slow shutter speed or a fault. Note the conditions and whether another compatible lens behaves the same way. If it started after a drop or you hear unusual sounds, do not force the mechanism.
There are white lines or unusual colours in the image. Why?
It matters whether this appears only on the screen or also in saved files. The screen, sensor, connections or image processing may be involved, but lighting and shooting modes can also affect the result. Send an original sample photograph and the equipment model.
Can an unresponsive shutter button or other button be replaced?
We inspect the button, its mechanism, flexible connections and electronics. Sometimes a contact or connection can be repaired; sometimes a part must be replaced. Tell us whether the button never responds, works intermittently or remains pressed.
Can faulty image stabilisation be repaired?
We first check settings, the lens and in-body stabilisation if fitted. After a drop, mechanical parts, position sensors or electronics may be affected. Repair options depend on the particular assembly and parts availability.
The flash will not charge or fire. What should I check?
Check the operating mode, correct battery and whether the problem occurs with the test button or only on the camera. Do not open a flash: internal circuits can retain high voltage after switch-off. Tell us the flash, camera and wireless trigger models.
The camera takes pictures but the screen stays dark. What does that mean?
Display settings, the eye sensor, backlight, display connections or another fault may be involved. Tell us whether menus are visible, whether the viewfinder works and whether saved photographs look correct on a computer.
What do Lens Error, E18 or Restart Camera mean?
On some compact cameras these messages can accompany lens startup problems. Mechanical jamming, the drive, position sensors or electronics may be involved. Do not pull the lens out by hand. After a drop or sand exposure, stop switching it on and arrange inspection.
The camera keeps asking for the date and time. Does it need a battery?
The clock backup supply may be depleted, the camera may have been left without its main battery, or settings retention may be faulty. The solution depends on the model; not every camera has a separate user-replaceable clock battery. Send the exact model.
The lens cover blades are stuck. What should I do?
Do not press, bend or lubricate them. Deformation, sand or damaged guides may cause jamming. We inspect whether the mechanism can be serviced or a part must be replaced.
Canon Error 01: is the aperture faulty?
On models using this message, Error 01 indicates a camera-to-lens communication problem. Contacts, flexible connections or electronics, including the aperture assembly, may be involved. Not every Error 01 means an aperture fault. Tell us the body, lens and when it occurs.
What does Canon Error 99 mean?
On certain Canon models, Error 99 is a general error and does not identify one specific failed part. Record the model, lens and when it appears. If it persists, the body and related equipment need inspection. Do not move the shutter or mirror by hand.
Nikon says Press shutter release button again. What next?
Follow the instructions for your model. If it repeats or the camera was dropped, stop using it and arrange inspection. The message alone does not prove that the shutter needs replacing: mechanics, drive, power and electronics are checked.
Data, water and sand
I cannot transfer photos to my computer. Is the USB port faulty?
Try an appropriate data cable, another USB port and, if possible, another computer. You can also try a compatible card reader. Contact us if the connector moves, is visibly damaged or the checks do not help. Do not force the cable.
The camera asks to format the card. How can I save my photos?
If the data matters, do not format the card, delete files or keep shooting. Remove it and seek help with safe reading and data recovery first. Test the camera using another compatible card without important data. File recovery cannot be guaranteed.
What do Card Locked, No Memory Card, File Error or No Image mean?
These messages mean different things. Card Locked may refer to an SD write-protect switch, No Memory Card to an unrecognised card, and No Image to no compatible images in the selected view. Record the exact message and model. Do not format important photographs as a repair attempt.
My camera fell into water. What should I do first?
Do not switch it on or charge it. If safe and possible without force, disconnect power and remove the battery. A hair dryer, oven or rice is not a substitute for inspection. Contact us promptly with the type of liquid and when it happened. Repair success depends on the damage.
Sand entered my camera or lens. Can I clean it myself?
Do not force rings or repeatedly switch on a jammed lens. Do not blow compressed air into openings, as it can push sand deeper. We inspect the mechanics, optics and wear. The work required depends on where the sand entered and the extent of damage.
Zhiyun gimbals
My Zhiyun gimbal spins uncontrollably. Is the gyroscope faulty?
Sensors, communication, motors or settings may be involved, but the symptom does not identify a particular fault. Switch it off if movement is uncontrolled and send the model, description and any drop history. Do not stop a powered motor by hand.
The gimbal vibrates or shakes on one axis. What should I check?
Check balance and permitted load according to the model instructions, with your camera and lens fitted. Persistent vibration after correct setup requires drive, mechanical and electronic checks. Vibration alone does not mean a motor must be replaced.
My gimbal stops and switches off. Is it overloaded?
Overloading or poor balance are possible, but the battery, power and equipment condition also need checking. Record the fitted equipment and the position in which it switches off. Stop using it if a motor heats up or the gimbal is damaged.
The gimbal drains its battery quickly. Does it need balancing?
Incorrect balance can increase motor load, but battery condition, settings or a fault may also be responsible. Check the balance against the instructions, battery type and behaviour with the same equipment. Send the exact gimbal model for inspection.
